Well I am sure you must have thought I was re-reading my crafters companion, one page a day. I have been so busy, no time to blog at all.

Today I did pick out two pieces of named paper from my make-up bag. Beata has won the edging, and Anne Donald the book. Congratulations! Send me your addresses and I will post them off to you.
We are lambing here at the moment. You might remember that things were very difficult last year at this time. My father in law was deteriorating fast, and we had our sheep plus his to lamb. There are so many reminders this year. Thankfully the lambing is going okay these last few days ( the first few days were bad, a lot died), so it always feels easier to cope when they thrive. I got the kids to agree to 'no complaining' after giving them a rousing speech about working together, (Obama would make me chief speech writer, honestly) and they get all rigged up in their outdoor gear without much fuss. It has worked well, they play on the bales of bedding and help a bit filling buckets. There is no doubt it is good to be out and about.

I will try to post a few photos of them when I get the chance. I am playing an active role this year, as I did last but we are all less sad so it feels different. I lambed a ewe yesterday, and it was great. I can't believe that I like it but I do. Not sure how the ewe felt though. She's a quiet type.

We had a comic relief fund-raising day at school and it was great. My eldest has a mad hair day and my son had a pyjama day. It was funny when has lift came in the morning he shouted 'quick, where's my dressing gown?!' No coat for him! Excuse the red eyes, I am too busy to edit!

This is just a quiet weekend. The kids are off Monday and Tuesday for St Patricks but we won't be going anywhere, perhaps just arrange for them to see friends. I am off work for 2 weeks now, just to help. However I will be doing a bit of house organising, getting rid of things, and making plans for our extension. It won't be long until we move out so I need to get organised.

Thanks for picking me - you made my day!! I don't know that I could cope with lambing - despite the fact that we live in a steading conversion and the fields all round us are filled with sheep - the lambs are starting to arrive!
